Anzac Day march From cities to small towns, the march has long been the centrepiece of Anzac Day.

One of the most popular ways to celebrate Anzac Day is waking up early to attend a dawn service in your local suburb, city or town. These memorial services are held at dawn to commemorate the time at which Australian and New Zealand forces originally landed at Gallipoli. They then finish with marches that feature current servicemen and servicewomen, former soldiers and their relatives.

Larger ceremonies are held at war memorials around both countries, and are often broadcasted on television and radio channels. There are some important symbols that Australians and New Zealanders use to commemorate Anzac Day and war folklore in general. ANZAC Day, 25 April, is the day Australia commemorates with services and marches in cities and towns and throughout the world where servicemen, servicewomen and peacekeepers are stationed, to remember all those who lost their lives in service to their country, in all wars.
