I have been with YogaWorks for nearly 5 years. Although I worked hard and advanced through the company I received virtually zero training on anything.
Since there is no training every studio does things differently, including upholding policies- this would confuse students who kept being told different things by the different locations they visited.
There is no support or leadership from upper management or corporate. The pressure to hit sales goals was unhealthy and the team is not nearly paid enough. The studios are outdated, upper management shows obvious signs of favoritism and teachers bad mouth other teachers. Pros Free membership but you have to leave if the class is full. Cons Underpaid, overworked, zero training, no leadership. Depending on the position, the work is fairly easy to do. If you enjoy yoga, you'll get a free yoga membership as a regular part-time worker.
The front desk greeter position is only part-time unless otherwise altered due to work demand. Pros: Can be fun and easy work for part-time for multiple job individuals or college students!!! Flexible scheduling :!!! Free yoga :!!! Cons: Minimum wage No benefits only for Studio managers, yoga advisers, yoga instructors, if full-time, corporate No paid sick leave unless your full-time Studio managers, yoga advisers, yoga instructors, if full-time, corporate Finding coverage can also be an issue sometimes!!!
Productive and fun workplace with heavy emphasis on sales. Free Yoga Membership, great colleagues. Short breaks, needy clientele, low pay. Part-time only position. Pros Free Yoga Membership, great colleagues. Cons Short breaks, low pay. YogaWorks is a great company to work for. They offer vacation and sick time as well as flexible work hours around the class schedule. Almost everything is great about it. Would you recommend working at your company? Help people considering your employer make a good choice.
The company has a variety of locations. Warm welcoming energy among staff. Flexible working hours, however very low compensation for services and not many opportunities to advance in the company. Employee pay, across the board, is not a livable wage. Pay your people like your business depends on them, because it does. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Great place to work for self promotion.
I highly recommend to start with Yogaworks trainings before applying for position. The job rotation at YogaWorks is very low what means the employees wo work there are satisfied with their salaries and benefits. Yes No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1.
I always resisted working for a big company. Now having children the benefits a bigger company can give you are great for offering stability for the future.
I think it's great a yoga studio offers this as it is rare. Pros do what you love. Cons teach at night. Management please Treat staff respect. Employee turnover is out of control because of the treatment we are given, little to no aid from upper management. Pros Free yoga, cool coworkers, nice customers.
Cons Management, treatment of staff, low pay, no benefits. Yes There are 20 helpful reviews 20 No. I have loved working for YogaWorks. The staff and yoga community are incredible.
