Does anyone work for nhe

As a clinical nutritionist, it's a perfect job for me. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's a 'dream job' because there are some aspects of the position that are tedious. Overall though, I would recommend the HPS for anyone with a dietetics background. There is considerable flexibility in workload. Expect weekly vid meetings and accountability sheets. I love my clients and I look forward to work.

Every component of the job is done remotely. They do require a capable laptop and you have to be a savy software user to fully comprehend all of their work interfaces for both exercise and nutrition. The NHE chat server was complicated to learn. There are so many different variables and assessment tools the company uses. I am impressed with the level of input flexibility reps have access to with clients. Personally, the way in which they provide fitness services changed my opinion about web-based personal training.

Coming in, I was reasonably skeptical regarding how clients received a fitness program online that was more than just written instructions on how to train at home. I honestly enjoy this type of personal training.

It is essentially the same type of work except you have more flexibility in the hours you work. It's a long hiring process with an exam requirement which is very hard. Pay is good but there are no benefits or retirement packages a big negative.

I plan on working at NHE for years, then after that I plan on looking for a job that will allow me to grow with the company and move up into management.

I have had no issues with the company. They do a good job with training to ensure you know precisely what to do and they conduct weekly online meetings to keep everyone on the same page. I primarily provide articles relating to exercise science and nutrition. Over worked and under paid. I was expected to do 3x the amount of work as other technicians with same title and pay. Unrealistic deadlines for move ins and renovations. Management receive quarterly bonuses for staying under budget so when asked to buy materials you have to hear about budget.

I, and other maintenance staff have personally paid for materials just to avoid hearing management lecture about budget. Leasing agents rent units out before tenants have moved out and put unrealistic deadlines on move ins. They receive bonuses for each unit they rent and don't take into consideration the amount of work and time it takes to renovate the units. Maintenance have to renovate the units and do work orders. If you have to work overtime they make you go home early another day to avoid paying the time and half.

That's not to say every day is a joyride or a breeze, but to say that I feel valued, appreciated and heard by management and by the owner himself! We work hard and sometimes the days are long, but knowing that there is great team behind me to help me finish a project, or give me that extra push of support makes all the difference in world.

NHE is in full support of industry training and self-development courses no only for their staff but for their communities as well. When local training is available for the managers, we invite our community boards so they are more in tuned with the business side of what is required to run their association and how we can work together for the betterment of that community.

Knowing that I have the support and tools I need makes me more confident as an Association Manager, in turn, I feel I can provide a higher level of support for my communities. Pros Positive work enviroment, supportive team, tools for success, approachable management, family vibe, and many more Cons Looking foward to the k match but at least we have a k , I'm not looking foward to an open floor work enviorment.

I went through the recruitment process for this position a few months back and I can say from experience that it was pretty thorough. In terms of what to expect, you can read their entire recruitment process on their website. Everything that is posted online regarding each step is accurate. Long story short, I ended up requesting a change in consideration. After a long talk with my husband, we decided that the content writer position was better suited to my talents.

I teach at a local college and writing in depth material coincides better with my true interests and skills. Sitting around and designing programs seemed boring to me as something required fulltime, day in and day out.

NHE is an outstanding organization run by very bright people. They only hire the best not tooting my own horn or anything. Yes There are 17 helpful reviews 17 No There are 1 unhelpful reviews 1.

I recently took this exam and took the obvious risk of purchasing the study material. I did a lot of research into the company and there is a lot of negativity online. None of the links from the website are responsive. I tried to call every number possible and could not reach a single person via phone from any department.

The address is also suspicious because there is no head office or place to contact. There seems to be a common theme of characters that contact you regarding your information.

The exam is designed to be failed because the 3 hours is not enough to complete the exam. The exam is extremely vague in some sections. Trying to answer ish questions in under 3 hours is impossible when some sections are essay style questions. The time limit works out to be roughly 70ish seconds per question.

As the questions are so vague, in many cases there are many different answers that could be correct. The exam allows you to continue after 3 hours have expired. I know for a fact that with my level of expertise and academic background that this is a poorly structured exam. It does not test your ability to be a health and fitness professional. The questions are by no means difficult. The content is also questionable. From research, the job is supposedly for writing programs.

None of the exam is dedicated to how you would write or design a program. The content is also poorly structured. The study guide has several topics that are vague and not all the links work correctly. Some of the information is incorrect and when I submitted several error reports, - more Yes There are 12 helpful reviews 12 No There are 13 unhelpful reviews NHE is virtual so everyone works remotely online or in the field. Sometimes I get Chat calls during times I am busy with a client but that's sort of the deal with this type of position. I will say that the thing I like most is that I did not have to give up any of my clients do work as a Chat agent.

Pros Hours. Cons Healthcare. Yes There are 35 helpful reviews 35 No There are 3 unhelpful reviews 3. I received some information relating to a fitness instructor position helping Chinese personal trainers.

They refer to it as an Exercise Course Instructor. The primary difference is the job requires 5 days a week as opposed to just doing weekend seminars around the United States.

They hook you up with an interpreter and its all done via a Cisco video connection. This was very strange for me initially but after a few days it actually starts to become second nature. The nice thing is I am learning Mandarin too. I enjoy the work more than I thought I was going to.

I would recommend this job to anyone with an exercise science background. Pros Learning to instruct using new technology and expanding my skillset. Cons I do not like my schedule, I tried to change it and have a pending request for a new one, It still has not been approved. Yes There are 41 helpful reviews 41 No There are 3 unhelpful reviews 3.

Like most others, I was required to take their very difficult MTC exam before being offered a position. The exam was free to me and all that was required was that I reserve a weekend to take it online.

I read a lot of horror stories online with people failing the exam. I assumed many of those people were under-qualified to begin with. I wasn't clear on whether or not I would be allowed a retake so I studies a week and then passed it on my first attempt. Then the training took a couple of hours.
