Where is camp coutts
We are a 15 minutes drive from Shannon's Creek Dam which has a BBQ, picnic tables, toilets, car parking and a viewing area on the dam wall. Campfires are allowed outside of restrictions and there is plenty of firewood availabke on the property.
Pets are welcome but they must be kept on a leash and under the owners control at all times. Campers must be self sufficient, with their own toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Water is available. I didn't stay the directions where sketchy. Was more than 6klm in until the road was not passable towing a camper. Sadly i had to turn araound and come home. Really enjoyed my stay as there was no one around and the camping site was tucked away in the forest with a nice little dam near by.
Be mindful that GPS cuts out along clearview Rd. Its about a 10 min drive from Armidale Rd. You keep going passed the small rickety steel bridge for another 5 or so mins til you see the gate and sign on the left which is clear to see. We have a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination at Hipcamp and are committed to helping our Host and Hipcamper community be inclusive. All Hosts should review and adhere to these standards around providing a positive Hipcamp experience, being a thoughtful neighbor, and serving as a responsible citizen.

Drop off Monday am pick up Friday 2 pm. Campers are served a snack each day. We are hopeful for our Teen camps to be a go this summer!!! As we get closer to summer we will post more information and make any adjustments if needed.
Offering an excellent look into the life of a Coutts counselor, this camp provides trainings to lead many of our camp activities.
Beyond learning to belay, t-rescue a canoe, commands on the archery range, tuning a bike, or standard first aid CIT campers will learn how to support campers emotionally and socially leading to excellent week of camp for all. Upon successful completion of this camp, CIT campers will return to volunteer for a week as a CIT counselor to test their new skills. Gradually staying up later and later this camp hikes campers up Bald Mountain at 2am to return after the sunrise to camp for some much needed sleep.
Campers will do all the activities in camp in addition to leaving camp for some river paddling, ropes swing and swim at Willoughby among other adventures. Limited space and this is a summer favorite- sign up soon! Mon Fri 2pm. This camp will take advantage of the many great biking opportunities in the NEK. From riding the single tracks and bike features at MSTF to the bike path to Canada we will seek out some diverse exciting biking.
